Our Weekend

This weekend was a time full of "to-do" things for Pete. The first on his list was to get started on setting up a play area for Pres outside. Pete worked all afternoon of Friday and most of Saturday to get it ready for us to put the mulch in.

Digging in the wood so that it stays put. (This was a really awful job as the ground here is like trying to dig in a rock pile.)



Next Pete had to even out the ground and then lay down the plastic to hold the mulch and keep the ants out. (Fire ants are a HUGE problems here and Pres is allergic)



Pete surveying his hard work and having a much deserved beer. (Not that he didn't reward himself the whole time he was working!)



All of the play stuff in the area and now we are just waiting to mulch it in. (That will be next weekend's project!)




Sunday was slightly less busy for my poor, tired hubby! His only job was to put together our new grill! He did a wonderful job and we were able to kick off some nice weather (FINALLY!) with a yummy cook out and Pete's home made mac salad!
